THE BENEFITS
This is the initial call for launching the Regional Network. The benefits at this stage are already important. The aim is to create a broad NETWORK that will be a strong stakeholder and take active part in the development process in our area.
Due to this approach, there is no financial contribution of the members to the Network.
Some of the first practical benefits from joining the Network can be summarized as follows:
- The members will have all of the benefits that come from being part of a common regional effort for promoting sustainable coastal development in our area such as synergies, cooperation, networking and lobbying.
- The members will have the opportunity of having their details included in a dedicated data base that will be created in order to include the members of the Network. The Database will be available on the internet (through AKTI’s website or the sites of other interested members). The Database is a tool for locating partners, for submitting common proposals, for organizing common activities etc
- The Members will be informed of the news on sustainable development, concerning the opening of calls for submitting proposals, funding opportunities, conferences and meetings.
- The Members can start exchanging of information, views, proposals and experiences on any Sustainable Development issues that are raised.
- Multi cultural dialogue is one of the objectives of the Network. The mutual concern for Sustainable Development is one of the things that joins us.
- The Members will have the chance to publish articles in the e-newsletter of the Network for a Sustainable Future which is circulated to almost 300 recipients all around the world.
- The Members will participate in common proposals to be submitted in the future
- The Members will establish exchange meetings and programs. Funding for these initiatives will be provided.
