THE OBJECTIVES OF THE REGIONAL NETWORK

The main objectives of the REGIONAL NETWORK are:

1. To promote awareness of the necessity for sustainable coastal development in society
2. To provide practical, tangible solutions and advise communities on why sustainable development is the only solution for the future (see paragraph “why” for more details on how to realize this objective)
3. To support local environmental, social and cultural movements and assist local communities in adopting principles of sustainability in the development process
4. To foster partnership and networking among the members of the network and with European and International organizations
5. To provide the members of the network with opportunities for education and training on the issue of sustainable development
6. To improve the skills of Network memebrs with organizing campaigns, on advocacy and participation in issues related to sustainable development
