Ελάτε να ανακαλύψετε πως η Έλσα Καρπασίτη από της Πύρες Γιόρκιν διερευνά τοπικές γεύσεις για την παρασκευή μπύρας και για ένα πρακτικό εργαστήρι με θέμα: Αγνή φυσική κεραλοιφή: Οι πρώτες ύλες και οι ευεργετικές τους ιδιότητες με την Μιράντα Λυσάνδρου από τον Μελλισόκαμπο.

The TEDxLimassol event will take place on October 3rd at the Rialto Theater, Limassol with the theme: True Heroes. The aim of this year’s event is to spread ideas on change and innovation. The stage speakers are those who are not complacent and continue to innovate in their field.
AKTI Project and Research Center with Green Cluster project will be at the TEDxLimassol! A full day workshop with hands-on composting activities. The demonstration unit of AKTI will be there and on-the- job training with Dr.Michael Loizides, Chemical and Environmental Engineer on the theme ‘Pruning Trees: An opportunity for innovative entrepreneurship’. AKTI Project and Research Center at the Mare Nostrum Network Spotlight for participating in a clean-up project across Cyprus beaches as part of the MarLitCy – Marine Litter, together for Clean Coasts – which aims to use the problem of marine litter as a tool for promoting dialogue and building closer relationships between Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot NGOs and communities.
Within the MarlitCy project, AKTI launched the Chirringuitos Responsables, which main aim had to distribute the “DECALOGO” with the environmental best practices and provide information on how to promote sustainability and preserve our coastlines.

Chiringuitos Responsables: Transferring the best practice from Spain to Cyprus! Working together to preserve our Cyprus coastlines!
The partners of the MarLitCy project: MASDER, AKTI, Enalyia Physis and Scuba Divers Organisation, launched the new initiative “Responsible Beach Bars”, which is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment of Spain through the Biodiversity Foundation.
AKTI’s team, full of energy hit the beach bars across Cyprus to distribute the “DECALOGO” with the environmental best practices and information on how to promote sustainability and preserve our coastlines. Check out the map with all the Beach Bars visited.

We Love Our Coasts!
2015 Campaign on Litter Free Coasts and Seas

On Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July, from 12:00 to 21:00 at Ledra street (opposite the Municipal Hall) the group of scientists of AKTI will be there informing on Marine Litter within the “Forests of Barrels” of the MARLSICO Exhibition.
The 4th of July, at 18:00 the media, at the same place during the exhibition, the launching of the campaign “Responsible Beach Bars”, within the MarLitCY EU funded program, with the presence of his Excellency the Ambassador of Spain and in cooperation of the Spanish Ministry of Environment.
