As the national coordinator of the International Coastal Cleanup in Cyprus, AKTI now features on the Clean Swell App, the awarded app of #OceanConservacy! An app that helps us all join the fight for trash free seas and contributes to the World’s Largest Marine Debris Database. With the latest Clean Swell App feature, the Ocean Conservancy recognizes the partnership it has with local NGOs. So, when you open the App in Cyprus you will be welcomed by AKTI’s logo and informed about our work!
 
How it works?
 
Head out to your favourite beach and use the app to easily record the trash you collect. Then share your effort with family and friends. 
 
It’s Fun 
 
With Clean Swell, simply “Start Collecting” trash wherever you are around the world and the data you collect will be instantaneously uploaded to Ocean Conservancy’s global marine litter database. 
 
These data deliver a global snapshot of marine litter, providing researchers and policy-makers insight to inform solutions. Join the thousands of International Coastal Cleanup® volunteers who are working for cleaner seas by participating in beach cleanups around the world. You can even check out your Cleanup history, so anytime, anywhere you can see the impact you’ve had on making our seas cleaner and healthier.
