Yesterday, 20th of May 2021, AKTI along with Isotech Ltd and Cydive performed a seabed cleanup in celebration of EU Maritime day for the #sealive project. The divers were successful in locating and removing derelict fishing nets, known as ghost-nets from the sea. The weight of these nets totaled 65kg. This seabed cleanup had the aim of raising awareness for the issue of ghost nets and the solution of biodegradable fishing gear.
