At the heart of this partnership is together.eu, dedicated to promoting democratic engagement within the European Union and increasing voter turnout. Together.eu provides a space for citizens, civil society organizations (CSOs), and other multiplier networks across Europe to connect, exchange ideas, and participate in political debates in a constructive and inclusive manner.

Our ‘Digital Communication Tools For Effective Public Engagement And Advocacy’ Is Here!
We’re thrilled to share that we’ve wrapped up our ‘Digital communication tools for effective public engagement and advocacy’ project, a collaboration between AKTI Project and Research Centre and Norsensus Mediaforum!
This partnership began with the AdvocaCY project, which benefits from the Active Citizens Fund Cyprus programme. Through this collaboration, AKTI conducted an insightful survey within the Civil Society of Cyprus, pinpointing critical needs for organizations and informal groups. The top three gaps identified were capacity building for maximizing public outreach, enhancing digital communication proficiency, and fostering synergies and networks.
In response to these needs, AKTI and Norsensus teamed up once again to launch the innovative initiative, ‘Digital communication tools for effective public engagement and advocacy.’ 🌟 Following an enriching three-day training in Norway, AKTI and Norsensus have unveiled a powerful knowledge transfer tool.
This groundbreaking tool made its debut on January 25th at the event ‘Advocating Together for a Sustai-novative Future,’ in collaboration with the AdvocaCY project, which sparked the concept of our initiative!

The Active Citizens Fund (ACF) in Cyprus is supported through a €1.5m grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway under the EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021, aiming to contribute to reducing economic and social disparities and strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the beneficiary states and the donor states. ACF Cyprus recognizes the fundamental role the civil society sector plays in ensuring democratic governance, human rights and social cohesion and focuses on the following two main objectives: strengthening civil society and active citizenship and empowering vulnerable groups in Cyprus.

Green Enough: Check out our latest developments in Wrocław, Poland!
Last week, the Green Enough project, including AKTI, came together in Wrocław, Poland.
The meeting provided the partners with the first opportunity to test their augmented reality phone application. This innovative tool is designed to make recycling education accessible for individuals with disabilities and others, offering a fun and interactive way to identify and sort different materials for recycling.
We have taken significant steps in developing our training course for professionals working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. By incorporating the key principles of Universal Design for Learning, this course empowers professionals to provide individuals with disabilities with a deeper understanding of environmental issues. This understanding enables individuals to make informed decisions and implement sustainable practices tailored to their preferences.

Η Τηγανοκίνηση στη Συλλεκτική Έκδοση 2024 του Economy Today “Εταιρική Κοινωνική Ευθύνη” με το άρθρο “Τηγανοκίνηση: Όταν ένα τοξικό απόβλητο μετατρέπεται σε εκπαιδευτικό εργαλείο για κοινωνική δράση και Βιώσιμη Ανάπτυξη“(σ.62)!
Διαβάστε το άρθρο μας και μάθετε γιατί η Τηγανοκίνηση συνιστά ένα καινοτόμο πρόγραμμα και πώς κατάφερε από μια πιλοτική εφαρμογή που ξεκίνησε το 2011 σε 10 σχολεία της Κύπρου, μέχρι σήμερα να:
- επισκεφτεί 455 σχολεία και 90.000 μαθητές
- πρωτοστατήσει στη συλλογή και ανακύκλωση χρησιμοποιημένου μαγειρικού λαδιού από τα νοικοκυριά
- αποδώσει πέραν του μισού εκατομμυρίου ευρώ για την αναβάθμιση των σχολικών περιβαλλοντικών υποδομών, μέσω της μετατροπής ενός τοξικού αποβλήτου σε βιοκαύσιμο
- ενεργοποιήσει 320 επιχειρήσεις, οι οποίες ενισχύουν την προσπάθεια των μαθητών

Μαθητές δημιουργούν πρωτοποριακό φιλμ για τα μικροπλαστικά και κερδίζουν σε διαγωνισμό!
Η ΑΚΤΗ συγχαίρει το Πρότυπο Γυμνάσιο Ζωσιμαίας Σχολής Ιωαννίνων και την εξαιρετική ομάδα του Γ2 τμήματος, που απαρτίζεται από τους Χριστίνα Διώνη, Αγάπη, Γιώργο και Μαρία, για το επίτευγμα τους!
Η ομάδα της Ζωσιμαίας Σχολής συμμετείχε στο Μαθητικό Διαγωνισμό δημιουργίας video με θέμα «Ανακύκλωση και Προστασία του Περιβάλλοντος», με ένα φιλμ για τα μικροπλαστικά. Κατόπιν αξιολόγησης, η ομάδα κρίθηκε μια εκ των 5 νικητών του σχολικού διαγωνισμού Γυμνασίων Π.Ε. Ιωαννίνων, στο πλαίσιο του έργου Interreg Ελλάδα – Αλβανία WASTERREACT, με το φιλμ “Out of sight, out of mind”.
Οι μαθητές επικοινωνήσαν με την ΑΚΤΗ, η οποία με μεγάλη χαρά παρείχε online καθοδήγηση και ενημέρωση για τα μικροπλαστικά. Αυτή η αλληλεπίδραση ενέπνευσε και κινητοποίησε τους μαθητές να μετατρέψουν την επιστημονική γνώση που αποκόμησαν σε ένα διαδραστικό φιλμ με την τεχνική stop motion, με στόχο την περιβαλλοντική ευαισθητοποίηση και την προώθηση της προστασίας του περιβάλλοντος.
Αυτά είναι τα λόγια των μαθητών όταν τους ρωτήσαμε για την αποτίμηση της συνολικής εμπειρίας, από το στάδιο δημιουργίας του βίντεο μέχρι και το τριήμερο εκπαιδευτικό ταξίδι στην Κοπεγχάγη στο Εργοστάσιο ανακύκλωσης Amager Bakke (Copenhill):
Την ημέρα που μας ανέθεσε η καθηγήτρια μας την δημιουργία ενός βίντεο για τον διαγωνισμό της Περιφέρειας Ηπείρου, δεν μπορούσαμε να φανταστούμε που θα μας ταξιδέψει αυτή η εμπειρία.. Μόλις ενημερωθήκαμε για το θέμα του διαγωνισμού, αποφασίσαμε άμεσα πως θα αφιερώσουμε το βίντεο στα μικροπλαστικά, γιατί ως ανθρωπότητα έχουμε αποτύχει να διαχειριστούμε τον όγκο πλαστικών στον πλανήτη μας.
Το Κέντρο Μελετών και Έρευνας ΑΚΤΗ μας έδωσε όλες τις απαραίτητες πληροφορίες που χρειαζόμασταν και μας προμήθευσε με φωτογραφικό υλικό από τις έρευνες του. Η δημιουργία του βίντεο με την εφαρμογή stop motion ήταν πολύ διασκεδαστική. Μοιράσαμε τις ζωγραφιές και τα σκηνικά και στο τέλος περάσαμε ατελείωτες ώρες βγάζοντας φωτογραφίες, κάνοντας μοντάζ και προσθέτοντας τα κείμενα.
Όταν ανακοινώθηκαν τα αποτελέσματα, δεν πιστεύαμε στα αυτιά μας! Και χωρίς να το καταλάβουμε, βρεθήκαμε στην Κοπεγχάγη! Το ταξίδι αυτό ήταν το έπαθλο του διαγωνισμού. Εκεί επισκέφθηκαμε το εργοστάσιο ανακύκλωσης στο CopenHill, ένα από τα πιο αποδοτικά στον κόσμο και απόλυτα φιλικό προς το περιβάλλον. Επίσης, επισκέφθηκαμε το Εθνικό Μουσείο της Δανίας, τη Γλυπτοθήκη Calsberg και τους κήπους Tivoli. Δεν θα ξεχάσουμε ποτέ αυτήν την εμπειρία!
