AKTI participates to an information visit to Brussels, 21st-23rd June 2011, organised by the Representation of the European Commission in Cyprus. AKTI is represented by the geologist Dimitris Vatiliotis, one of the youth that participate in the ARGONAFTIS project of AKTI for working experience.
The Representation of the European Commission in Cyprus is organizing an information visit to Brussels between the 21st and the 23rd of June 2011 for Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot Young persons actively involved in the political, social and cultural life of Cyprus, volunteering organizations, culture and sports activities and young leadership.
The aim of the visit is to acquaint the participants with the European Union’s institutions (Commission, Council, Parliament, European Economic and Social Committee and Committee of the Regions). Main focus will be given to the European integration, citizen’s rights and the rights of the young persons. Presentations on the initiatives of the European Union with respect to youth and volunteering will be given to the participants who will also have the chance to discuss about funding of activities. Furthermore, the participants will have the opportunity to network and create bonds between them as well as with officers of the European Commission who will be attending the meetings for possible future collaboration.
