Join us for an exciting three-day intercommunal educational camp in Lofou, bringing young people together to explore climate change, wildfires and their impact on the environment and daily life! The Educational Camp is implemented by AKTI Project and Research Centre and MASDER (Famagusta Walled City Association), with the support of the French Embassy in Cyprus. Bus transportation will be arranged from Ledra Palace to Lofou and back.
In July 2025, a devastating wildfire severely affected the Limassol district, including Lofou village, damaging natural areas, agricultural land and local infrastructure. With the support of Chevron Cyprus, AKTI carried out restoration actions in the village.
During the camp, participants will explore climate change and wildfires, visit areas affected by the 2025 fire in Limassol, walk through the landscape where the first signs of recovery are beginning to appear, and take part in educational and environmental activities.
