Chair of the Board of Directors
Xenia Loizidou (PhD) is a Civil and Coastal Engineer (National Technical University of Athens, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine of London, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). She is an expert in participatory decision-making, sustainability, green and blue growth.

Member of the Board of Directors
Michael Loizides (PhD) is a Chemical and Environmental Engineer (National Technical University of Athens and Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine). He is an expert in waste management, the circular economy and sustainability, active in Cyprus and abroad.

Head Project Manager
Kyriaki Demetriou has a degree in Turkish Studies (University of Cyprus) and a Master Degree in Contemporary European Studies (University of Sussex). As Head Project Manager she has a high-level oversight of all of AKTI’s co-funded projects, and helps guide the organisation's strategic direction.

Project Coordinator
Demetra holds a degree in Applied Physics and a Masters in Environmental Engineering. Her work at AKTI mainly focuses on social entrepreneurship, the green economy, and the implementation of sustainability principles in projects.

Project Coordinator
Demetra is a Biochemist (Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA, USA) with an MSc in Environmental Engineering from Imperial College London. She coordinates the various different EU, local and bicommunal projects at AKTI.

Project Manager - Researcher
Maria-Christina holds a Diploma and Integrated Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (National Technical University of Athens) and a master’s degree in Chemical Process Engineering: Advance Chemical Engineering (University College London-UCL). Her work at AKTI focuses on bicommunal projects, sustainability and microplastics research.

Project Manager - Networking Coordinator
Anna has a degree in Economics and is pursuing a postgraduate in History. As AKTI's networking expert, she works on identifying synergistic opportunities for the continued growth of a green, sustainable economy.

Quality Coordinator
Christina holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master's in Food Technology. At AKTI she works on sustainable supply chains and marine litter.

Education and Business Liaison
Andreas is an Electrical Engineer. At AKTI he is actively involved in projects on marine litter, social entrepreneurship and sustainability.

Hardware Maintenance
Charis's work on AKTI focuses on social entrepreneurship, sustainable supply chains and marine litter.

Digital Manager
Elisavet holds a BA in History and Archaeology with a specialization in Archaeology and an MA in Museology-Cultural Studies. She is the Digital Manager of Akti.

Andrea holds a degree in Biology and is an educator at the Tiganokinisi Caravan. Her role focuses on environmental education and public outreach, raising awareness of sustainable issues.

Avgi is a biologist and Project Coordinator of the Tiganokinisi Programme at AKTI Project and Research Centre. She leads the implementation of the programme’s mobile experimental unit, visiting schools across Cyprus to raise awareness among students about environmental sustainability and the importance of recycling used cooking oil. Her work focuses on engaging young people through hands-on learning and promoting responsible environmental practices.
