‘Pame Amargeti: A Culture and Sustainability Lab’

Join us, for the participatory workshop ‘Pame Amargeti[1]: A Culture and Sustainability Lab’. This workshop is for cultural and creative professionals, environmental organizations, students and young people active in the arts, and aims to identify gaps and needs, and co-design solutions that support the cultural and creative sector’s risk preparedness and resilience to climate change.

Pame Amargeti is taking place on Sunday, 19th October 2025 during the Amargeti Festival, in Amargeti, Paphos and is under the auspices of the Deputy Minister of Culture, Dr Vasiliki Kassianidou. Pame Amargeti is implemented within the framework of the Creative Europe 2021 – 2027 project ‘Creativity, Resilience, Environment, Sustainability: A Cultural Paradigm for a more resilient Art world (CoRES)’.

Why participate?

During the event participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Work together with key-actors in the cultural, creative, and environmental fields or young creatives across Cyprus to support the cultural and creative sector’s risk preparedness and resilience to climate change.
  • Learn more about climate mainstreaming and about simple habit-formation that could contribute towards climate-change mitigation.
  • Engage with stakeholders from the cultural, creative and environmental fields and with young creatives to explore potential collaboration opportunities during a Networking Reception.
  • Watch an exclusive screening of the short films WOMANIFESTO I and II, by Efi Spyrou.
  • Experience a rich program of activities as part of the Amargeti Festival showcasing local traditions and flavours, such as distillation of Zivania, demonstration of a traditional olive mill’s operation, etc.

Important Information:

  • The event will be in English. The Agenda can be found here.
  • Lunch will be offered by the organisers.
  • Bus transportation will be offered from Nicosia and Paphos to Amargeti and vice versa. Limited seats available. Please reserve a spot via the Registration Form.

About CoRES 

‘Creativity, Resilience, Environment, Sustainability: A Cultural Paradigm for a more resilient Art world (CoRES)’ is co-funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission under the Culture strand of Creative Europe 2021 – 2027 and the Deputy Ministry of Culture in Cyprus. CoRES is a collaboration between three European partners including AKTI Project and Research Centre (Cyprus), RUNONART (Greece) and Studio18 (Malta), with AKTI as the Project Coordinator. The project aims to bring together key-stakeholders in the cultural, creative, and environmental fields across Europe, to identify the gaps and needs, and co-design the solutions to support the cultural and creative sector’s risk preparedness and resilience to climate change.
